Immigrants who come in for economic opportunities tend to come in with business contracts, which means they tend to be more financially stable compared to other immigrants, as well highly educated with college degree. They also tend have English language skills by the time they come to America(Dr. Bazian, Lecture 7. September, 19, 2012).
However, not all immigrants of economic opportunity come in with a sponsor for business. Mohamed Alnajar and many others, for example, come to America as a way of remittance--i.e. earn money to send for family abroad.

Mohamed N. Alnajar is a Muslim Yemeni American, who moved to the U.S. at a young age. During the past 4 decades while living in America--with the exception of visiting family in Yemen, Mohamed has worked in the fields, where he picked fruits, worked in restaurants, and even co-owned a few businesses. His journey started in California, where he arrived in San Francisco, but he would move from various places in the U.S., before settling down in the Bay Area, where he currently lives with his family.
